Facebook’s updated User Interface: Review
Are you in the crowd of people who were fond of using Facebook once?
Facebook has always been the preferred social application by a huge amount of people. It has been popular and famous ever since. But the current updated design for Facebook has left its users horrified.
People who once liked networking and using Facebook have so many complaints now.
With time the user interface of Facebook has shockingly degraded.
Here is the list of reasons why the current design for Facebook is criticized.
• One of the reasons users hate the new Facebook design so much is because they find it confusing. A hallmark of a good user interface is how simple it is to find and do things on a web page. The users should not go through the trouble of reading instruction and long details to know how to operate.
Navigational icons should instantly tell you what you get when you click on them.
• Another terrible feature is Facebook Group Icon. When there’s a group activity the group icon will show a number. Clicking on the icon takes you to a page that suggests a bunch of other groups joins. That’s not what a user expects. Being able to understand what an icon means just by looking at the icon helps users do things.
• Additions to the list are huge Ads. Facebook has definitely disrupted the user experience for its users. The ads are most of the time extremely annoying. Imagine you are scrolling through the feed to see some happy and fascinating snaps of your connections and suddenly an Uber advertisement pops up to your screen.
• As much as it is confusing, it is time-consuming. There was a time when in a span of 15 minutes break you could really explore your entire Facebook profile so easily and with comfort. The struggle adds time to your use.
To wrap up the review, in conclusion, the updated version of the Facebook design is totally under the expectations of users. It has disappointed the followers and initiated people quitting the use of it. Already with the tough switch of users from one application to another, it is extremely necessary to keep up with the user interface.
To reach back to its popularity and user preference, Facebook must consider the requirements and opinions of users and make the changes.
