Have you ever created a working model of a project and not given a test run to it? How do you think it works out for you? Prototyping is the same as the design process. It is believed to add a unique advantage to your design process and is considered extremely necessary.
If you are a designer here is a quote you will definitely relate to,
“They slow us down to speed us up. By taking the time to prototype our ideas, we avoid costly mistakes such as becoming too complex too early and sticking with a weak idea for too long.” — Tim Brown.

HOW PROTOTYPE BENEFITS UX DESIGN

A prototype is a basic appearance or version of a product that a design team or front-end-development team usually generates during the design process. The goal of a prototype is to test the flow of a design solution and gather feedback on it — from both internal and external parties — before constructing the final product.
The prototype design is altered and amended after gathering the feedback.
So we can say Prototyping is very crucial for the design process for two major reasons, visualization, and feedback.

To add a few more in the list of advantages prototyping offers to the UX designers in the process are,

· ADDING REALITY:

When we think about the product before prototyping, it is barely alive. In simple words, it is just a concept. Prototyping adds life to it. For a period, the concept no doubt is very important but can you consider understanding without some real in it? Therefore, prototyping is very necessary. It is when the concept is turned into something definite.

· ITERATE:
Prototyping comes in stages, but the result is the same: to evolve your ideas. From sketches to hi-fis, prototyping offers a plethora of behaviors and functions to test with each new iteration. And with more data, we can iterate both faster and smarter.

· KEY SOLUTION TO ISSUES:
During a design process, we understand there will be times when the designers identify unintended situations and usability problems. Once a product has a prototype of any kind, usability challenges suddenly become easy to spot and fix. Prototyping is a pronounced way to think about the problem and bring together solutions quickly.

· PRESENTATION:
What do you think is most suitable for testing a version of a page or presenting a product to a client? Prototyping, without a doubt, is a standard presentation. It gives a better and profound idea about the product to the investors, stakeholders, and users.

WRAP UP
Prototyping is a step that as a designer you can never miss out on during your design process. Visualization and Feedback are the two most useful keys when it comes to user experience and how fortunate is that prototype offers both. Therefore, create an advanced design with 1000 meetings in one that is prototype design.
